WordPress: How to setup widgets

All of our WordPress themes come with a wide variety of custom built widgets. You can read more about each widget on this page.

The Widgets section of your WordPress dashboard is a very powerful area to customize your site. You can add all kinds of features to your site by using our range of custom widget.

To add any widgets to your site's sidebar/footer, go to Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard.

All of our WordPress Themes come packed with lots of custom widgets to get you going, such as:

  • Newsletter/Email Subscribe
  • Featured Post
  • Popular Posts
  • Random Posts
  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • Pinterest
  • Facebook
  • YouTube
  • Bloglovin'
  • Spotify
  • Snapchat
  • Goodreads
  • We Heart It
  • Posts Slider (Sidebar use only. Please use the Customizer for more slider options)

...and we're adding more all the time! (did you know that you get free lifetime updates to your theme?)

To start setting up your widgets, go to Appearance > Widgets in your blog's dashboard.  We created a video example of this, which you can view below. We recommend watching this video on YouTube in HD so you can see the screen clearly. You might also like to pause the video at certain stages and try it out for yourself at the same time.

Have an idea for a new widget? Leave a comment below and we'll see if we can add this to a future update for you!

What's next?

Now that your widgets are ready, this would be a great time to create the main menu for your site...
