WordPress: Pinterest Hover Button

All of our themes come pre-installed with their own custom Pinterest Hover Button. This allows your readers to very easily pin your content by simply hovering over the image and clicking the button.

To activate this feature, first go to Appearance > Customize in your dashboard:

Then look for the Pinterest Hover Button tab on the left of the screen:

You can now activate the Pinterest Hover Button so that it appears in different positions of the image. You can also upload your own custom image too:

Want a custom hover button? We’ve uploaded some options for you to this page. Feel free to use any you like!

I’m back with another question xD sorry I’m driving you insane I know hahaha. But….there is no pinterest hover button on the feature images on the main page :(. I think this is particularly important since it’s the first images people see. Can something be done about this?

That’s not possible currently, however we’re about to release an update which will fix that. This will be available to download in your dashboard within the next 48 hours 🙂

        Hello

Did this update happen? I see this comment took place a couple of months ago. I just activated this functionality on my blog and I’m still getting that it works if someone clicks through to the article, but not on the images on the main page. Thanks!

Hi Tania, this should be available to you now if you have updated all plugins and the theme to the latest version. You can check for updates by going to ‘Dashboard > Updates’. You can also check the settings in the Customizer to make sure that the feature is enabled on “categories/archives”. Let me know if that works.

My hover button only appears on some images, and on others not. How can I fix this? I have the Equinox theme

Hi Dee, please could you point me to a post that shows an example of this?

No problem! It looks like this might be because the images are inside of a gallery. I’ll add some settings for this so it should start working in the next update. You can update the plugin as soon as it is available at ‘Dashboard > Updates’ 🙂

Hi Dee, glad to hear you like the theme!

we’ve added some settings to verison 2.13.2 of the “pipdig Power Pack” plugin which should address this. You should see this update available in your dashboard within the next 12 hours. Please let me know if the hover button is still not working after updating.

Great, it works! By the way, if you use the full width image code, the pinterest button also fails to appear on that image. I’m not sure if that’s something that can be fixed but it would be awesome if it is possible.

Hmm, that might not be possible due to the way the image in that feature works. I’ll see if we can add it though. If so, we’ll definitely include it in a future update 🙂
